eNASCAR: Schedule, Format & Where to Watch

The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series is the longest-running professional sim racing championship in the world — and the one where the racing is closest.

What Is eNASCAR?

eNASCAR is NASCAR’s official esports championship, run on iRacing and sanctioned by NASCAR itself. It has been running since 2010, which makes it older than most of the sim racing scene, and it is one of very few series where drivers compete as salaried professionals rather than hobbyists.

Most of the grid drives for esports divisions of genuine NASCAR Cup teams. That backing shows in the production: the broadcast is built like a television motorsport feed, with a full commentary team, in-car cameras and live timing.

Why Oval Racing Is Worth Watching

Oval racing has a reputation among European viewers for being repetitive. In sim racing it is the opposite: because the cars are identical and the driving margins are tiny, races come down to drafting, air management and where a driver places their car in traffic. Leads change constantly, and finishes are routinely decided by hundredths of a second.

It is also the easiest sim racing discipline to follow without prior knowledge. There is no multi-class traffic to track and no pit strategy spread across hours — you can tune in mid-race and immediately understand what is happening.

Season Format

The season runs as a series of sprint rounds across a mix of superspeedways, intermediate ovals and short tracks, followed by a playoff structure that mirrors NASCAR’s own postseason format. Drivers qualify into the series through a separate open competition, so the field is filtered before the season starts.

Where Can I Watch eNASCAR?

Races are streamed free with English commentary, and no iRacing subscription is needed to watch. Broadcasts typically go live shortly before the green flag, and full replays stay available afterwards.
